Tariff number 1 (applied when stopping car on the street or taking on the taxi stands):
Starting rate: 40 CZK
1 km / rate (one-way in Prague and outside of Prague): 28 CZK
Waiting rate (charge for each 1 min.): 6 CZK


Tariff number 2 (when ordered through call centre)
Starting rate: 30 CZK
1 km / rate (one-way in Prague and outside of Prague): 24.90 CZK
Waiting rate (charge for each 1 min.): 5 CZK

There are also other tariffs for corporate clients, based on the contract - which are lower.

You can also order your taxi by SMS, just send a text to 606 999 069 in the format "ORD (your name) * (address for pickup)" for an immediate pickup. if you want to specify a time, add " * (DD.MM) * (HH:MM)".

As mentioned in many tourist guides, taxis in Prague can be pretty dodgy. But luckily there is a few taxi radio-central companies which offer quite good & reliable service. Amongst the most reputable companies are: AAA Taxi, Profi Taxi and Prague Airport Transfers.

Yes we think AAA Taxi is OK; there are not many negative posts from travellers. You can order AAA Taxi by phone or by sms. Even you can specify what languages would like your driver to speak but in most cases you will be lucky if driver speaks some English as all bookings are subject to availability.
